The High Tower

Hike along the winding streets and hidden staircases of the Hollywood Hills and you’ll come across this peculiar landmark: a five-story stone elevator that looks like a castle turret. The High Tower is a private elevator that dates back to the 1920s, and it provides access to the residence above (nope, you can’t visit it, sorry). And even though you can’t step foot inside, you can see if featured in classic films, like The Long Goodbye.
