Time Out says

Take the time to walk around the dusty garden trails and rocky adventure areas of this Westlake and Echo Park green space. But the real star here is its grassy central field, with stunning views of the Downtown skyline and a half-dozen dedicated picnic areas around its perimeter.

Cute and lowkey place to have a picnic or lounge in the grass and read a book. It is not as beautiful or large as some other parks in the area, but it is certainly somewhat of a gem -- tucked away a bit for sure. It was incredibly easy to park here and the park was very clean. A few areas have a great view & the small waterfall spot is certainly a nice touch.

This is a beautiful picnic spot and quintessential Angeleno destination. Downtown LA serves as a perfect backdrop against the peaceful nature scenery of this park and so the view alone is worth it (and very insta-friendly). What I love about this park is that despite its popularity and huge sprawling layout, it feels quiet and peaceful. My friends and I have spent quite a bit of time lounging, sunbathing, and enjoying good wine over good conversation.
