A favorite with beer lovers, this Little Tokyo bar serves a full menu of craft beers on draft and eats. While there are burgers on the menu—try the house version with smoked Gouda and grilled cheese—the theme is Asian with a mix of sushi rolls, Korean short ribs and teriyaki sliders. Don't miss weekday happy hour from 3-7pm and all-day Sunday.

As we entered the restaurant on a Saturday night it looked cool, but I noticed they had a patio and asked the hostess if we could sit outside. As we stepped into the outdoor area, I felt as if I was transported to some chill, out of this world back alley. We were seated at a roomy table and paused to take in the ambiance. I gave myself a pat on the back for making the executive decision to venture out to the patio. (I don't think our experience would have been as epi if we sat inside). Jane was our awesome waitress; attentive and friendly. She quickly brought us an order of the wasabi fries, which were crispy and spicy.  I tried a couple of the cocktails and they were all delicious. Towards the end of the night I switched to a tasty grapefruit beer that was refreshing and not too pricey. I can't wait to go back to this spot again.

A hidden gem in Little Tokyo for sure. It's easy to miss Far Bar as it is in a tiny alleyway. The outside is lovely, with hanging lights and a great vibe for a nice night out. The beer selection is fairly vast as well - plenty of options. The food was decent but not out of this world - Wasabi fries, sliders, and a few fun fusion options. If you're in the area, it's definitely a fun spot to grab a drink. Plus, your friends will think you're pretty hip for knowing about this "hidden" bar in the area.

5 stars for ambience, 3 for food. Far Bar can be found down a tiny alleyway next to Far East; once inside, you'll find twinkling lights strung up and a smattering of chairs lining the small space. I've been here for happy hour a couple times, and the beer selection is INCREDIBLE. The food, only so-so, but for happy hour it serves it's purpose. They have great wasabi fries and some decent dumplings, but the sliders are not the best. I'll keep coming back though; it's just too cute.
