Time Out says

Instead of drawing in football players and fans to it’s storied stadium on October 14, Rose Bowl Stadium is packing the field with kegs, lederhosen and beer-centric food to kick off the inaugural Pasadena Octoberfest, benefitting Cancer for College. More than 50 craft breweries will dish out frothy brews from 3-6:30pm thanks to Motley Brews, as Angelenos ring in the German tradition with live music, food trucks and a chance to become Sam Adams’ “Stein Hoister of the Year.” Breweries like Angel City Brewery, Coronado Brewing Co. and MacLeod Ale Brewing Co. will pour up seasonal beers, while Brew Wings and Bison Burger will serve up savory pairings. For $40, score access to the festival along with a tasting glass, unlimited beer samples (let that sink in) and live entertainment. If you want to go all out, snag the $50 ticket for everything listed above plus early entry at 2pm, or the VIP ticket for $70, which includes access to the brewer’s lounge, featuring a rotating tap of limited release and rare beers, grub and more. Don’t miss the Sam Adams booth, as they’ll be offering more than 20 of their fine beers, some of which will be making their West Coast debut.
