Sink that 8-ball, grab your PBR and twerk it to the dance floor. Echo Park's The Short Stop is a divey hub for hipsters in bandanas and baseball fans in Dodgers caps to enjoy unpretentious atmosphere while sipping (or gulping, more likely) $2 libations. The place ain't fancy, but its Happy Hour til 10 and late night DJs certainly take the edge off. Not to mention the juke box, pool table, arcade games and photobooth, which may leave you with a set of lazy-eyed printouts, but also a batch of happy—albeit cloudymemories. Just a fifteen minute walk from Dodgers stadium, there's no better place to delight in a post-game night out.

Well you have to check the Yelp reviews about this place and they are a bit scaring. I just don't wanna go to a place where the bartenders are morons with some kind of power trips... No thanks!!

Friday nights at the Short Stop are a cathartic experience. You're having a shitty day. You come here for a beer - maybe you're alone, maybe not. The music starts, good music, music that reminds you of a certain place and time when work didn't stress you out so much and you could dance like no one was watching and blah blah blah. So you dance, and you make friends, and you drink some more, and the time passes, and pretty soon you're out on the street craving a danger dog. And lo and behold, there's a cart right outside, and everything is ok again.
