Time Out says

Try over 60 kinds of whiskey when distillers come together to show off their drams in this high spirited festival

Last year, WhiskyX took Brooklyn residents on a journey around the world of whiskey – offering rare casks and exclusive tastings from some of the world's most sought-after brands.

In 2018, they're headed west. Landing in Los Angeles' Barker Hanger on April 20, the festival will see rare whiskeys and bourbons from the likes of Ardbeg; Bruichladdich; Johnnie Walker; Whistlepig; Bulleit and more, all brought together under one roof. They'll also be celebrating the best of California's own distilling industry, with drops to try from the California Artisanal Distillers Guild. All the merchants will have interactive stands up, so you can wander between whiskey makers and discover what you love.

Of course, you can't sample whiskey on an empty stomach, so they'll also be pulling together some of the city's best-loved food trucks, to supply the eats. Want to get fancy? If you purchase a VIP ticket, you'll be treated to whiskey-spiked snacks from Angelino chefs.

Tunes will be courtesy of a live performance by folk-rock group Dawes, who will be performing hits from their back-catalogue and from recently released record We're All Gonna Die. Guests will also get access to extra perks like haircuts courtesy of Blind Barber, and whiskey and cigar pairing tips at the WhiskyX Cigar Lounge.

But the best thing about an event like this is always to meet the people behind the whiskeys. This event will be packed with distillers, brand ambassadors and industry experts–all in aid of helping you drink better.
