Time Out says

Wear your lederhosen to this Mid-City West biergarten, where an extensive selection of German brews are served up alongside traditional German fare like schnitzel, sausages and homemade pretzels. Grab a seat at the bar or at a communal table on the dog-friendly patio and sample over 35 beers—go for a $13 flight of 5 beers. If beer isn't your thing, there's wine on hand, as well as a ping-pong table and flat screen TV.

Delicious food and extensive German beer selection are featured at this La Brea standby.  The entrees are portioned well, with stellar mains and sides on offer, from spackle to schnitzel.  The inside is warm and homey, and there's plenty of outside patio space for warmer months.  They also have quite the board game selection.  A great place to catch up with friends or for a casual evening date, parking is plentiful on the street in the evening especially.

Easy and casual place to grab a drink with friends. Even though it is right on La Brea, the outdoor area/patio is an enjoyable place to sit. They've got plenty of beer options to try and some of the dishes are convenient to split amongst friends. If you're in for the long haul and looking to really get your fill of beer, I'm pretty sure they serve boots as well!
