Have you ever wanted to find a place in LA where the rent is low but your roommates are always high? A couple of the options below offer exactly this. Whether you don't mind weed or you're cool with sharing your living space with what amounts to a small farm, these three available living situations require an open mind and a 'go with the flow' attitude.

1. Bunk up or couch surf, your callThe living room and the room with the bunk beds are both available, and yes, they offer a "day rate." Minimal belongings are a must, and as you may have expected, 420 friendly is a requirement.

It's like backpacking through Europe, but not.

2. Cats, dogs and childrenThe space is small. There's no storage. You'll have to mine through Legos covering every surface in the house. The Legos are a result of the children who live there. And you can't have pets, but you can walk the chihuahua and feed the two cats that roam freely. This is what $550 per month buys you in LA.

Don't let the bed bugs bite...

3. Don't worry, there's a curtainSo, you thought a living room itself was tight? Try splitting it with another person. Don't worry, there is a curtain for "privacy" and a "free street" outside for parking, or if you get greedy and really need your space. Females only apply. Sorry guys, you're not allowed in what we imagine is a group shower.

At least there are curtains...
