Los Angles is notoriously known as a hard place to date. But even after you've swiped left a few thousand times and have finally found your match—at least for the moment—keeping that spark alive can be difficult. In a land full of eye candy and opportunity, it's imperative to keep that flame ignited if you want your relationship to stand the test of time—and maybe inspire an Adele song some day. So, here are a few ideas for keeping your relationship hot and heavy in LA.

1. Go hiking together: Think about it, hiking not only gets you outdoors doing an activity together, but usually there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Whether it's a beautiful view of the city, a Malibu sunset or a waterfall, oftentimes you're hiking to something that is conducive to romance. Not to mention it's a good work out, and when you're feeling fit and good about yourself, your partner will be drawn to that confidence.

2. Take a class together: Use Coursehorse to find a class to take together that ignites both of your interests. Our recommendation? Take a cooking class. Then, follow it up with a trip to a farmers' market to buy the ingredients (and wine) to cook the meal at home—things can get a little more, er, creative when in the privacy of your own home.

3. Head to a romantic restaurant: Not into cooking? That's okay. Los Angeles is filled with romantic restaurants. From Il Cielo in Beverly Hills to Nobu Malibu, there are restaurants all across this city ripe for a romantic evening. So stop being lazy and make a reservation—and if it's a surprise, even better.

4. Go shopping: No, we don't mean going shopping at the Grove or the Beverly Center, and definitely not Ikea or any other furniture store. We're talking about sex shops. Whether you're looking for some classy items or to get your sleaze on, we've listed the best sex shops in LA for your shopping pleasure—or just pleasure. The reason for this shouldn't be too complicated, so just get to shopping.

5. Stay at a hotel: Isn't vacation sex the best sex? Well, you don't have to leave the city to have it. LA is so big, you can drive 30 minutes to explore a new neighborhood and stay at one of its many hotels for a day and night that will feel like you're hours away. Whether you make a full staycation out of it or just a random night out, the thrill of being somewhere new is sure to get the flame hot.
