Barcito, a new Argentine-inspired bar Downtown, is celebrating its grand opening tonight by giving away free cocktails, beer and wine for a full hour. From 5-6pm, imbibers can stop by the bar (located at 12th and Grand) for one of beverage director Angel Meza's five rotating cocktails on draft, like Fancy Free (bourbon, maraschino liqueur and bitters) or Yerba Brava (yerba mate, vodka, lemon-honey and mint). If you're not feeling a cocktail, you can grab a beer from BarrelHouse Brewing Co. or a glass of house red or white wine.
The food isn't free tonight, but it couldn't hurt to try one of their shared plates to soak up that alcohol—polenta, perhaps, or empanadas baked in-house. Regardless, a free cocktail is a pretty great way to ease back into the week, and to welcome this new spot to the nabe.
