Queen Bey and Jay Z just got a new pad in LA. TMZ reports that the couple scooped up a place in Holmby Hills that is worth $45 million. The couple leased the space for a year, which reportedly adds up to about $150,000 per month. So to be clear, the music industry's royal couple is spending an estimated $1.8 million to rent—let's all take a minute to let that sink in. Also, fun LA trivia: the mansion is the same one featured in "The Big Lebowski."

The couple recently got booted from another mansion in the area earlier this year because the house sold to new owners, according to TMZ. But while the old pad was a not-too-shabby 16,000 square feet, the new place is even bigger—an astounding 20,000 square feet complete with an Olympic-sized swimming pool and an additional outdoor pool with a waterfall and formal gardens. We can’t wait to see those waterfall Instagram photo shoots.

The couple's new home, at least for the next year, was previously owned by former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt. McCourt sold the house last year for a whopping $45 million, but the British billionaire who purchased the spot apparently didn’t spend too much time there, with it sitting vacant for long periods of time, so he decided to put it up for lease. Enter Bey and J.

We’re so happy that they’ve still decided to hang around LA—and while Jay Z may still be in an "Empire State of Mind," here’s to hoping Blue Ivy grows up a true-blue Angeleno. We definitely want her on our team.
