Get ready to squint this weekend, art lovers. Saturday marks the opening of the month-long "Mini Show," a 10:1 scale architectural model of LA's the Lodge gallery, filled with a collection of teeny tiny original works from big-name artists like Ed Ruscha, Janet Levy and Miranda July. Guests will be invited to peer inside the miniature exhibition space and engage with the art on an intimate level, which is pretty much inevitable given the size of said art. Viewers will also be given magnifying glasses to fully appreciate the little(r) details.

The exhibition will be on display at the Lodge (1024 N. Western Ave) from October 3 to the 24 (open noon to 6pm Thursday to Saturday or by appointment), and is curated by gallerist Alice Lodge and multimedia artist Clare Crespo, who conceived the exhibition and is no stranger to tiny worlds (her project Yummyfun is a kids' cooking show set in a mouse hole). Their names may not sound super familiar, but they've worked together before and you've probably seen their stuff—like that infamous, bejeweled coyote desert display at Ace Hotel Palm Springs.

This particular show may be tiny, but it's a sincere endeavor with a strong roster of artists, all of whom took the project quite seriously. As Ed Ruscha told T Magazine, "Tiny work sometimes can scream louder than something that is very large." On display will be new works by Louise Bonnet, Clare Crespo, Tierney Gearon, Shane Guffogg, Miranda July, Konstanin Kakanias, Janet Levy, Geoff McFetridge, Jon Pestoni, Rob Reynolds,  Joe Prime Reza, Ed Ruscha and Mary Wigmore.

We can't wait to see the wee thing.
