Daybreaker flips their morning-party script to host their first evening affair

You may have been hearing about Daybreaker, an event that travels to different cities and venues, packing in a crowd for an early morning dance-and-yoga party with well-known DJs and occasional costumes, confetti and other theatrics, though without any alcohol being served. Typically, the events are held in a nightclub and start around 6am for a yoga class followed by an hour or two of dancing, after which participants typically head off to their office jobs, ideally feeling positive and invigorated.

Originally launched in New York by two friends who dreamed the concept up over some late-night falafel in Brooklyn, Daybreaker has been hosting LA events for enthusiastic crowds since 2014. Now they have chosen LA for their first evening Daybreaker event, which they’re appropriately calling Dusk.

Dusk encourages attendees to swap yoga attire for party dresses and head to Marina del Rey for a sunset cruise on the Hornblower. In keeping with the healthy vibes for which they’re known, this happy hour will be booze-free, making it an inclusive party for all—and probably making the post-party drive home a bit safer in the process. Grab some friends and a cheerful attitude and make your way to the docks to join what they call their “(not so) secret society” of party people.

Dusk: An Evening Experience takes place on Thursday, July 7 from 6pm to 9pm aboard the Hornblower Cruise, departing from 13755 Fiji Way, Marina del Rey; tickets are $35 to $45, available online
