Just when you thought the next drinking holiday wouldn't appear until Christmas (and yes, we can call Christmas a drinking holiday), Repeal Day pops up and saves the day. This Saturday, December 5, bars and restaurants around town are clinking glasses to the 82nd anniversary of Prohibition's end. Gather up your dollar bills—seriously, some bars are slinging Old Fashioneds for a mere buck—and celebrate your constitutional right to imbibe at these 14 participating locations:

1933 Group Bars: As they do every year, the 1933 Group bars will be offering $1 specials to toast the end of Prohibition. Get your Washingtons ready for Old Fashioneds at Harlowe, Sassafras, Bigfoot West, Bigfoot LodgeThirsty Crow and Oldfield's, and for a tequila press at La Cuevita.

Beelman's Pub (Downtown): Buy a Jameson Black Barrel Old Fashioned at this Downtown pub and you'll get the second one for just $1. Not into Old Fashioneds? The bar is also offering a Boardwalk Empire punch for $4.

Townhouse (Venice): Townhouse is celebrating 100 years of providing quality (and, sometimes, illegal) drinks to Angelenos with five days of festivities, but the main event takes place on Repeal Day. From noon-2pm, the bar will be offering drink specials, music, catering by Hatchet Hall and coffee cocktails from next door's Menotti's Coffee Stop.

Bar 10 (West Hollywood): Bar 10 is launching three holidays shots for only $6 all day on Saturday—they're usually $12. Try the Sundae Fundae, Eggnog Slingshot or Dulce de Leche.

The Hungry Cat (Hollywood and Santa Monica): Three cocktails—Scofflaw, Hanky Panky and Jack Rose—will be offered at both Hungry Cat locations for $7 (or 2 for $12, so bring a friend!).

Dog Haus (Pasadena): Hot dogs are usually the main focus at Dog Haus, but on Repeal Day, the Pasadena location will be offering $1 PBRs until 7pm—meaning there's a lot more you can do with that fiver you have in your pocket.

Terrine (Beverly Grove): Cocktail wizard Ryan Wainwright will be pouring classic drinks (including his signature martini) starting at $9, along with an Old Fashioned for $6.

The Independence (Santa Monica): As a nod to Franklin Delano Roosevelt, The Independence has crafted a rum-based cocktail called the WTFDR, available for $4 all Repeal Day.
