We love donuts. We love donuts so much that we ate 264 of them in a taste test to determine the best in the city—no regrets (Ok. Maybe a few.). It's easy to have donut fever in a city like LA, where every neighborhood is filled with stand-out donut shops (and exceptional coffee to go along with your sweet treat). To celebrate National Donut Day, we encourage you to explore a new bakery in your hood, stop by an old standard, or hit up one of these places offering killer donut deals:
STK: The swank restaurant is celebrating this righteous holiday with a Drunkin' Donut Trio, available in the bar or lounge for $12. The trio includes three booze-filled donuts: Cocoa Bomb (vanilla lemon custard with hazelnut liquor), Fruity Rebel (cereal custard with raspberry liquor) and Not Your Daddy's Donut (cherry bourbon custard with orange liquor), as well as a complimentary glass of prosecco from 6-8pm. Available until the end of June.
Plan Check Kitchen + Bar: From June 5-7, treat yourself with chef Ernesto Uchimura's famous specialty crullers at one of three Plan Check locations: Space Age Donut at Fairfax, Strawberries 'n Cream Donut at Downtown, and Root Beer Float Donut at Sawtelle. Each donut is $2.
ICDC: The new ice cream, donut and coffee shop on Beverly is offering a free donut with the purchase of any other item. We highly recommend their salt and pepper donut.
Donut Snob: The creative donut shop is bringing back their mini donuts for $1.75 each—and taking 50% off the price of delivery until June 6.
Joan's on Third: Instagram or Tweet your visit to Joan's on Third on National Donut Day and you'll receive a free 'J' donut from California Donuts. We'd have #donutswithJoan any day.
Dunkin' Donuts: Judging by how long the line was when the Santa Monica location debuted in September of last year, we're betting National Donut Day at Dunkin' Donuts will draw quite the crowd. And for good reason: Buy any beverage, and you'll receive a free donut of your choosing.
Krispy Kreme: You don't even have to buy a drink at Krispy Kreme. Just show up at any location and pick up a donut for free. Free! Did we mention it was free?
J. Crew: The pastel-laden store is offering free donuts from 10am-Noon. Because nothing helps you fit into new jeans like a pound of sugar and dough.
