Single readers, you're in luck. Each week, Time Out will feature one of our very own smart, sexy, eligible buddies for your potential dating pleasure. No crazies, no creeps, no pressure. Enjoy!

Do you have a single friend who's a total catch? Nominate them below.

Kat was recommended by her friend Erica: "I have this friend, Kat. She's hilarious. She's a college professor and always helping others, even if it's just offering travelers a place to stay at her pad or editing/proofreading scripts for free. She's a great listener, insanely smart and really laid back. She makes incredible enchiladas, is very independent and is always traveling or trying new things. Every time she goes to a concert, she winds up making good friends from all over (which is how I met her—at a concert in Nashville!). She's charming, a bit traditional and looks super sweet and innocent—a classy lady with a dirty sense of humor. A jerk ditched her in her gold sequin dress on Oscar night and she's not gone on a date since! Help her find someone for this year's Oscars please!"

Here's Kat, in her own words:

What’s at the top of your LA bucket list? A weekend of driving up and down the coast; a Lakers game; Adele at Staples Center; antique/flea market shopping; whale watching/boating; visiting an animal sanctuary; doing a day of cheesy tourist stuff like backstage studio tours or Chateau Marmont brunch and window shopping in Beverly Hills.

What LA stereotype do you kind of live up to? Whimsical out-of-towner still amazed by everything larger than life!

What's your favorite neighborhood? Larchmont area or Valley Village—so relaxed with quaint, unique shops and fun people watching.

Beach, mountains or desert? Beach or mountains, I'm not picky. I do love Malibu though.

What's the most interesting date you've been on so far in LA? I would say my date to the Oscars/Vanity Fair Party, but I got stood up! Fourth of July at the Bonaventure rotating bar is beautiful.

Dive bar, cocktail bar or juice bar? Dive bar, but I've never tried a juice bar—so why not?

What's your ideal first date spot and why? Rain Room or Griffith Observatory or a basketball game, or anywhere you can laugh and play and learn something while you get to know someone.

Think you and Kat might hit it off? Shoot her an email at chewbaccasplayroom@gmail.com (include a photo!) and let the sparks fly.
