What is happening at McDonald's? First, the fast food chain employed fine-dining chef Neal Fraser to craft a "secret dinner" for journalists using McDonald's ingredients. Now, the restaurant synonymous with gluttonous burgers and suspect marketing campaigns is attempting to clean up its imagine with...kale.

According to the Orange County Register, McDonald's has just launched a kale breakfast bowl in 800 McDonald's locations in Southern California, in addition to replacing their parfait yogurt with Chobani Greek yogurt. The bowl features egg white, turkey sausage, bruschetta, cheese, spinach and kale—funny, considering only a year ago the chain made fun of kale in a TV ad. Oh, how the times have changed.

The kale breakfast bowl, along with a heavier scrambled egg and chorizo bowl, can be found under a new "Simple Delights" selection, and are available in the morning but are not part of the all-day breakfast menu.

Will you be trying the new kale breakfast bowl? Let us know in the comments below!
