Kanye West's mic gets cut, and more news from Coachella 2016 day one

In case you missed it, here's a roundup of the buzz on everyone's lips after Friday, weekend one of Coachella 2016.

The wind was a real bitch. It got grit in our eyes, noses and mouths and blew up more than a few skirts. It worked in favor of some performers—like M83's already ethereal keyboardist, Kaela Sinclair, whose gauzy dress and long curls blew in the breeze—but also threatened to shut down a few sets, including A$AP Rocky's, which is why the performer took the stage 15 minutes late.

Kanye West made a guest appearance during A$AP Rocky's set. But because of the weather delay, by the time Kanye got on stage there were only minutes left on the clock, and mics were cut in the middle of "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1." Kanye didn't give a f%*k and just kept rapping, as the crowd chanted obscenities at whichever poor souls had to cut the mics.

To make up for it, Kanye also crashed Jack Ü's set for a hot second, because why not?

DJ Mustard was an insane crowd-pleaser at the Sahara Tent, playing a mix of dubstep, classic West Coast hip hop, a bit of trap, a few top 40 hits and even some Beastie Boys. The crowd was huge and loving it, especially Mustard's mash-up of Drake's "Hotline Bling" and Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen."

Sufjan Stevens dressed up like an angel. And a giant disco ball. And a... balloon animal? The performer went all out during his evening set, playing to his audience in a neon tracksuit, among other even more colorful costumes.

Seal made a guest appearance during Gallant's set, calling the singer-songwriter "the future" and performing "Crazy" and "Weight in Gold" with him. Swoon.

LCD Soundsystem played to a small and somewhat lackluster crowd for their headlining set. They closed out "New York I Love You" with a quick cover of Guns N' Roses "November Rain" and no one even noticed. They also covered David Bowie's "Heroes," which did little to rouse the crowd.
