It wouldn't be summer in Los Angeles without free concerts in cool, outdoor places from KCRW. In addition to Summer Nights and the Twilight Concert Series (which start this weekend, by the way), the station is collaborating again with the the Annenberg Space for Photography in July and August. Sound in Focus is a month of free, all ages outdoor concerts inspired by the Annenberg's upcoming exhibition, "Emerging," and the lineup is pretty spectacular.

Saturday, July 25: TV On the Radio with Boxed In

Saturday, August 1: De La Soul with Quantic (live)

Saturday, August 8: Dwight Yoakam with X

Saturday, August 15: Cold War Kids with Other Lives

The concerts will be on the lawn at Century Park, right next to the Annenberg Space for Photography. In addition to music and photography, visitors can take a tour of Skylight Studios, picnic on the lawn (BYO or indulge in food truck fare) and grab a drink in the beer garden. The concerts are free, but you must RSVP beforehand, and entry is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. (The Annenberg doesn't close to the public until 5pm, so hold your horses until then.)
