Kitson is closing their stores after 15 years of being a paparazzi destination

Kitson is known as being less of a shopping destination than a great place to pretend like you're famous—few spots around LA have served as significant a backdrop for paparazzi shots. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and the Kardashians are among the many famous people spotted walking around town with their baby blue bags.

Now the company is closing all 17 of its locations in California, Oregon and Nevada, as well as its online store, according to the LA Times

The Kitson website is advertising a "Big Ass In-Store Sale" of 30-50 percent off all items and additional discounts on some sale items.

Founded in 2000, the store has run into serious financial trouble in recent years. In 2013, they received a $15 million credit line to refinance debts, and then this summer they had to get a loan to pay down their other loan. Sounds like a mess. But there's still some hope—the Times reports that the boutique's chief restructuring officer said they're looking into ways to preserve the brand.

Still, we'll miss trying on ridiculous clothes we can't afford and taking our out-of-town friends to "that place they saw Paris shop once." RIP, Kitson—we'll make a toast to you in a trendy wine glass this weekend.
