Update, 12:45pm: All the free general admission tickets look like they've been claimed. Well, that was fast. VIP tickets that include early entry, a meet-and-greet and photo with Steve Aoki and merch ($100) are still available.

Just when we thought Garcetti couldn't get any cooler.... Our very own LA mayor has teamed up with electro house musician Steve Aoki to offer a free concert on the streets of Downtown (literally—on Broadway between 4th and 6th) this May. To attend, all you need to do is sign up for more information about the mayor's Volunteer Corps, a program that allows city dwellers to pledge a minimum of three service days a year to better the city. We think it's a pretty great idea, and the concert is just the EDM icing on the cake. See you on May 16!

Sign up to learn more about the Volunteer Corps here, then reserve your tickets for the show here.
