IPAs are a divisive beer—folks either love or hate the hoppy pale ale—but if you're a fan, mark Saturday, March 12 on your calendar. That's when the third annual Los Angeles IPA Festival, a fête that celebrates the best India Pale Ales from across California, returns to Mohawk Bend.

Starting at 9:30am, attendees will be able to stop by the Echo Park spot to sample over 60 craft beers from breweries like Mumford Brewing, Russian River Brewing Co., Green Flash Brewing Company, Boomtown Brewery, Claremont Craft Ales and more. For $5 per half-pint pour, you can drink a couple here, a couple there, then vote for your favorite—both the People's Choice and Judge's choice winners will be crowned at 3pm. Any brews left over will be available for sampling until they run out.

There aren't any tickets or reservations necessary this year, but we recommend getting to Mohawk Bend early before any beer runs out. Because the hour the beer runs out is a sad, sad (yet inevitable) hour indeed.
