Ever since news that Andy Ricker's wildly popular Thai restaurant Pok Pok was going to open in LA, we've been waiting anxiously for the Portland import to arrive. First came Pok Pok Phat Thai, a smaller iteration in Chinatown's Far East Plaza where you can order phat sii ew, phat thai ruam and endless flavors of drinking vinegar. In my mind, Pok Pok Phat Thai didn't live up to the hype, but after eating there I still couldn't wait for the O.G. Pok Pok to make its way to our city.

That time has finally come. On October 20, Pok Pok will be soft opening for lunch and dinner service, which you can buy tickets to here. The restaurant, a mere four blocks away from Pok Pok Phat Thai, is selling lunch tickets for $30 and dinner tickets for $50, both of which include a preview of the menu and space, along with a selection of house cocktails and bar offerings (Pok Pok Phat Thai doesn't have a liquor license). Lunch runs from 11:30am-2pm, dinner from 6-9:45pm, and there is limited seating still available for each. Translation? Buy your tickets now.

Pok Pok is located at 978 N Broadway, Chinatown. Soft open is on October 20.
