The Los Angeles (née St. Louis, and LA before that) Rams have yet to kick off a game here, and their fancy Inglewood stadium still hasn't broken ground, but make no mistake: football is happening in LA.

The NFL announced on Tuesday the locations for three upcoming Super Bowls, and Los Angeles has nabbed the honors for Super Bowl LV in 2021. The game will be held at the LA Rams' soon-to-be-under-construction stadium in Inglewood, which is currently planned to open in time for the 2019 season.

In addition, Atlanta was selected to host Super Bowl LIII in 2019 and South Florida for Super Bowl LIV in 2020.

Momentum has been building over the return of football to LA since the Rams' move was announced in January, culminating in today's Super Bowl news (the Scouting Combine and NFL Draft may also arrive in the future). But the $2.6 billion stadium isn't ready quite yet; in the meantime, the Rams will start their 2016 season in September at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

We can only guess what sort of Super Bowl City shenanigans will arrive along with the big game; the free public Super Bowl side-show brought a whole frenzy of characters to San Francisco earlier this year. So where do you think LA would host such an event? At the Inglewood stadium-adjacent development? Downtown? Santa Monica? Let us know in the comments.
