Yes, it’s that time of year again, and whether you care about it or not, the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards is taking place Downtown LA this Sunday. Stars will be lauded, hearts will be broken and there will almost definitely be a lot of traffic. So to help you manage this weekend in style, here’s what you should know:
When: Sunday, September 20 at 5pm with a red carpet preceding the event
Where: The Microsoft Theater at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles
Why: People enjoy television
What else: If you’re driving, steer clear of the LA Live area since it will be flooded with people. We would also avoid taking the 110 in the downtown area, especially where it intersects with the 10.
Who: Sure, LA is a city filled with celebrities. You’ve probably seen them at your local coffee shop. You might consider yourself one. Still, be on a special lookout this weekend as tons of famous people will be flooding the city. "Saturday Night Live" vet and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Andy Samberg will host the awards for the first time. Most of the nominees will attend as well, so expect entertainers like Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jon Hamm to draw some attention.
