The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County has opened a new, expanded pavilion where hundreds of butterflies are flying free—and, of course, landing ever-so-delicately on plants and visitors, creating the perfect photo op for your next like-garnering Instagram. Only open until October 16, you'll want to make your way over as soon as possible to capture the moment while you can.

This butterfly pavilion is far larger and lighter than the previous exhibits and features butterfly species from around the world, including 20 species native to California, including the monarch, mourning cloak and buckeye. In addition to watching as the animals flit around and interact, there are museum staff on hand to explain the details of each individual type of butterfly.

If you feel inspired head out to snap your own butterfly 'gram, be sure to tag #TimeOutLA to share it with us!
