1. Eat and drink for a great cause during the L.A. Stands with MX+PR event at No Vacancy. Have dishes and drinks from the teams behind Otium, Big Bar, Redbird and others from 6 to 10pm. Tickets cost $75 and all proceeds benefit UNIDOS for Hurricane Maria relief.
2. Visit Mitsuwa Marketplace in Torrance for the Rising Tohoku Food Fair. Sample Japanese-style uni, rice balls, bento boxes, scallops, ramen and custard cakes, some flown in from Tohoku just for the fair.
3. Lace up a pair of skates for ICE at Santa Monica. The ice skating rink at the corner of 5th Street and Arizona Avenue is open from 2 to 10pm. Skate rental and all-day admission costs $15.
