1. Attend the Self Help Graphics & Art Día de los Muertos Celebration, a 40-year-plus tradition. The event begins with a procession at Boyle Heights’ Mariachi Plaza at 4:30pm, followed by a free fest at Felicitas and Gonzalo Mendez High School from 5 to 11pm.

2. Celebrate Bunker Hill’s collection of cultural institutions at Grand Ave Arts: All Access. The all-day block party, which runs from 11am to 5pm, includes free performances, exhibitions and tours at spots like the Broad, MOCA and the Music Center.

3. Head to the Hollywood Bowl for Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory in Concert. Watch the 1971 classic with musical accompaniment from Devotchka, as well as songs performed live by John Stamos as Wonka, “Weird Al” as the Oompa Loompas and others. Tickets to the 8pm performance start at $39.50.
