The holidays will be over soon and, if you're like us, you have some freshly gained pounds to lose—damn you pumpkin pies, fudge and other goodies. But thankfully the aptly timed Yoga Expo is coming to the Los Angeles Convention Center to introduce Angelenos to a more healthy lifestyle.

On January 3, from 10am to 6pm, the expo will bring local and national yoga instructors under the same roof to lead more than 150 classes and workshops. Whether you're an experienced yogi or stepping foot onto the mat for the first time, the expo will allow you to sample many of the studios around LA to find the right instructor and class for you.

"We are thrilled to showcase the LA yoga community at an all-day, family-friendly event. Many yogis would love to explore the many worlds of styles, teachers and studios, and we bring it all together," said Yoga Expo founder, Kyle Michaud.

Not interested in yoga? There will be other fitness classes taking place throughout the day, including aerobic, anaerobic and resistance training programs. For your spiritual health, there will be meditation classes and workshops. And as if that wasn't enough to kick-start your new year with a new healthy lifestyle, there will be local companies offering tastings of sustainable foods and beverages including organic, non-GMO, gluten free options and more.

Tickets to the expo are $25 (children under 12 are free) and can be purchased online. One tip—bring your own mat. Namaste!
