We can't catch a break. First whooping cough, then the measles at Disneyland and now a full-blown zombie outbreak. The teaser for the clumsily-named Fear the Walking Dead, a spin-off of the AMC zombie series, was released this morning, starring a very hazy Los Angeles. The show, which premieres this summer, is set to take place in the same zombie-filled universe during the time leading up to the original Atlanta-based outbreak story. Apparently because we didn't get our flu shot, we need to stay away from the Silver Lake Farmers Market and red, glowing underpasses—at least that's what we picked up from the video below.

Seriously, what about the quaint farmers' market at Sunset Triangle plaza says "zombie apocalypse"? But the trailer's most egregious assertion comes from the thought that undead, bite-happy "walkers" have taken over the city. That's completely unrealistic; nobody walks in LA... we'll see ourselves out.
