Author Rachel Neumann has worked with numerous leading Buddhist and spiritual authors, including the Dalai Lama, Sylvia Boorstein and Sulak Sivaraksa. Tonight she reads from her new memoir, Not Quite Nirvana, which recounts how Neumann—a self-described skeptical, fast-talking New Yorker—became the editor for a world-renowned Zen teacher, and reluctantly accepted "mindfulness practice" for herself. Expect personal insights and techniques for ways to find peace in the middle of a full and busy life. Sort of like a Zen time out.
