When Fight Club novelist Chuck Palahniuk co-hosts a literary event, hootenanny is sure to follow. Join Skylight Books at the Echoplex for the most raucous book launch you'll attend this decade, honoring Willy Vlautin's new novel, The Free. Special guests Palahniuk and Chelsea Cain will assist with the wackiness factor, as will the slew of mystery giveaways, music, light-up beachballs and—wait for it—pajama party. Attendees are instructed to wear their PJs and bring a pillow or bust, since party poopers will be out the running for any and all party favors. Admission to the fête runs $24 per ticket and includes a signed copy of Vlautin's book. Watch this video to get a sense of the expected hoopla.
