In what can only be described as a real life version of the ridiculous clubs featured in SNL's Stefon segment, the sassy-sounding Mmhmmm takes over the former space of Smoke & Mirrors at the Standard Hollywood. The leather-clad, dimly lit club has a definite Eurotrash/chic vibe—disco rules on Saturday nights with "Giorgio's"—that contrasts the rest of the hotel's lighter take on mid-century psychedelia. If you can make it over to the club during its very limited hours, just remember that your entry rests in the hands of the bouncer. Mmhmmm, indeed.
