Every Saturday and Sunday, UCB’s longest-running, most beloved showcase gathers the theater’s current top improvisers and a special guest storyteller to spark an evening of improv. At least, it was until comedy theaters around L.A. had to temporarily shutter.
But ASSSSCAT is back for four livestreamed benefit shows to raise money for the L.A. Emergency Covid-19 Crisis Fund. On May 2 and 3 at 5 and 8pm, tune in to UCB’s YouTube account for an absolutely amazing lineup of improvisers performing from home, including—deep breath—D’Arcy Carden, Eugene Cordero, Bobby Moynihan, Lauren Lapkus, Mary Holland, Andy Daly and so many more. Oh yeah, and cofounders Matt Walsh, Matt Besser and Ian Roberts will be performing, with a special appearance from Amy Poehler as the first show’s monologist.
