Fred Armisen

The erstwhile SNL comedian, Portlandia star and Late Night drummer is adding yet another quirky credit to his résumé: foley artist. Fred Armisen’s new album, 100 Sound Effects, is true to its name—it’s a library of audio of everything from glass breaking to “Music Venue Employee Kicking Every­one Out While Throwing Away Bottles” that he recorded with the help of fellow comedians including Bill Hader, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Tim Heidecker and Riki Lindhome. Armisen will be playing a free show at Amoeba this Wednesday. And if you buy the album in-store at Amoeba, you’ll get a ticket for an album signing after the performance.
