The erstwhile SNL comedian, Portlandia star and Late Night drummer is adding yet another quirky credit to his résumé: foley artist. Fred Armisen’s new album, 100 Sound Effects, is true to its name—it’s a library of audio of everything from glass breaking to “Music Venue Employee Kicking Everyone Out While Throwing Away Bottles” that he recorded with the help of fellow comedians including Bill Hader, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Tim Heidecker and Riki Lindhome. Armisen will be playing a free show at Amoeba this Wednesday. And if you buy the album in-store at Amoeba, you’ll get a ticket for an album signing after the performance.
