The beloved Bob Baker Marionette Theater will soon be incorporated into a mixed-use development. The courtyard and party room—where guests are treated to free postshow ice cream—will remain as they are now, but the theater will be rebuilt according to founder Baker’s original intent. To fund those plans, the theater is hosting a gala performance to kick off its campaign In L.A. to Stay.
Hosted by Charles Phoenix, the evening features the vaudeville antics of Lindsay Benner, the soulful sounds of Lynda Kay, plus food from Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo and local favorite Masa of Echo Park. The evening also features a silent auction with original art by Todd Selby, rare gear from Supreme and vintage Disney treasures from the Bob Baker archives.
