Time Out says

Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre's Sophie & Charlie is being presented in a unique way—as all Duckler productions are—by taking on a telenovela dance format. Over the coming weeks, each "episode" of the show will be presented at a different LA neighborhood's hidden gem. The show itself follows the story of lovers Sophie and Charlie from the moment they meet at a funeral (how romantic!). Each installment will highlight a different musician or band from Los Angeles and take place at various locations, broken down below.

  • Sophie & Charlie: At the Funeral with violinist Lili Haydn and pianist/composer William Goldstein on September 26 at 7 & 9pm at Unitarian Universalist Church (12355 Moorpark St, Studio City).
  • Sophie & Charlie: First Date with harpist/beatboxer Phillip King on October 1 at 7:30pm at Beyond Baroque (681 Venice Blvd, Venice).
  • Sophie & Charlie: Intensive Care with tuba player William Roper and guests at October 11 at 4 and 6pm at Semi-Vacant Hospital (3831 Stocker St, Crenshaw).
  • Sophie & Charlie: Garden Bout with Los Angeles Percussion Quartet on October 18 at 3 and 5pm at Kings Road Park (1000 N Kings Road, West Hollywood).
