Holiday Salute to Danny Kaye

Honor a Tinseltown legend at this kickoff to a year-long celebration marking actor, singer, dancer and comedian Danny Kaye's 100th birthday. Best known for his roles in Hans Christian Andersen and White Christmas, among other films, the holidays are the perfect time to salute Kaye—the night also marks the recent release of the new Christmas with Danny Kaye DVD, a collection of the holiday-themed episodes of his variety series The Danny Kaye Show. The evening's program will include a special tribute screening of rare clips of Kaye, a panel of speakers ranging from his daughter to George Schlatter, producer/writer/director of Laugh-In, and a dessert reception for a sweet ending. The night will also honor the multi-hyphenate's humanitarian work.
