Time Out says

Sure, loud music, bold outfits and drinking may sound like a typical Tuesday night on any college campus, but on the 12th, UCLA has the added distinction of hosting the R&B icon Allen Toussaint and Dirty Dozen Brass Band at its Royce Hall to help celebrate Mardi Gras. Hear the legend, who has performed with the Judds, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, the Rolling Stones and Elvis Costello, as he performs his music and offers colorful stories. Toussaint is joined by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, which blends R&B, jazz, funk, Afro-Latin grooves and Caribbean flavor. There's also a special pre-show menu of crawfish boil, starting at 7pm. Typical? Hardly.
