Escape into the 1920s with the annual Halloween-themed Masquerade Ball at the Egyptian Theatre and help the venue celebrate its 90th anniversary. The event begins at 6:30pm with nearly two hours of short films from the '20s and '30s, after which the dance floor opens with Dean Mora's Modern Rhythmnists. The '20s-themed entertainment also includes the chance to make your own Hollywood screen test; cocktails from Musso & Frank, the Varnish and Sadie; a speakeasy gambling den; a 1920s fashion parade; a palm reader; and an Egyptian-themed burlesque show performed by the Victory Variety Hour troupe. A range of ticket choices allow for options of general admission to unlimited access to the King Tut's buffet and VIP options like line-cutting, pre-paid parking and drink tickets. Everyone is encouraged to get into the spirit and dress up as your favorite '20s Hollywood icon, which should be a total departure from that Honey Boo Boo costume you'll be wearing the following weekend.
