Stephen Maing's A Long Ride Toward a New China

Watch short documentaries from some of today’s brightest rising talent and gather tips from the directors themselves at LACMA’s free (with RSVP) screening of selected New York Times Op-Docs. These opinionated documentary shorts, a celebrated recent video addition to the NYT’s Opinion/Editorial section, cover diverse topicseverything from young men performing ballet in crowded NYC subways, to gang culture in South Africa, to a portrait of a rural West Virginia town facing an exodus of youth. Op-Doc filmmakers available for questioning will include Oscar nominees Heidi Ewing (Jesus Camp), Jessica Yu (Breathing Lessons) and Roger Ross Williams (Music by Prudence).
