Superhero Classics screening

Holy nostalgia, Batman! The Paley Center is bringing back its free Weekend Screening series, and this month the spotlight is on the "big three" of DC Comics. Revisit a time when superheroes were new to the screen, and on their way to becoming the big-money, pop culture icons of today. First on the bill are two episodes of the 1950s' The Adventures of Superman with George Reeves, including the show's pilot. Next up are two episodes of the beloved, campy Batman of the 1960s. See Adam West come up against Julie Newmar's iconic Catwoman. And finally, The New, Original Wonder Woman is the TV movie that made Lynda Carter a star for her betrayal of the Amazon woman with a Lasso of Truth. Cloris Leachman costars in the 1975 picture.
