Time Out says

Reggae is the real star in this '70s classic, celebrating its 40th anniversary with a fully restored and remastered version on the big screen. Classic reggae artist Jimmy Cliff sings and stars as the anti-hero who dreams of recording a hit song but gets in trouble with the law. Some argue that The Harder They Come can be credited with introducing the West to the reggae music genre—if you usually eschew reggae, this is a great opprtunity to give the music a second chance. After the film, stick around for a free screening of Director Perry Henzell's follow-up, No Place Like Home, at 10pm.
