Here's something to make a bookworm's heart flutter: During the entire month of February, Café Pinot is offering a Literary Love menu, featuring curated dishes that are inspired by passionate love stories. City Librarian John F. Szabo worked with Executive Chef Sydney Hunter to bring three novels to life through food, with a four-course menu capped off by gourmet chocolates from Compartés Chocolatier. Diners will start with a waldorf salad, inspired by Jay and Daisy from The Great Gatsby, followed by gnocchi and truffles to commemorate Romeo & Juliet. A cowboy steak pays tribute to Ennis and Jack's Brokeback Mountain love story (how perfect is that?). In addition to a strawberry 'n' cream duet for dessert, decorative chocolates are dedicted to each love struck couple: The Great Gatsby Golden Salted Caramel, The Romeo & Juliet Raspberry Rose, and The Brokeback Mountain S'mores. Planning on a Valentine's Day reservation? Visitors that enjoy the Literary Love menu on February 15 and 16 will receive a complimentary bottle of Chef Joachim Splichal's signature cuvee. If only every love story came with a corresponding menu...
