From the same company behind the regeneration of the Hollywood Roosevelt, the Thompson is a brighter, airier property than its sister operation. Designed by Dodd Mitchell and open since 2008, it's a real looker, from the rooftop pool to the handsome, understated lobby. Other points of interest include a number of works by New York fashion photographer and artist Steven Klein, and staff uniforms by Theory.
