Staples Center

Best known as home turf for the Lakers basketball team (as well as the Clippers basketball team, and the Kings hockey team), Downtown's sports shrine also hosts big musical acts such as Kanye West and U2. Though it's plush and modern, the sound quality in the 20,000-capacity arena is surprisingly variable. At the concession stand, don't miss the nachos camachos, an LA favorite.

The home of our basketball teams (both LAC & LAL) as well as the Kings & a bunch of concerts, Staples Center is right smack dab in the middle of LA Live and has a great energy! The downtown restaurants are lively and great places to go to before and after a gam/event at Staples (you can expect prices are more expensive here), but overall, a great stadium!

There are $30, $20, & $10 lots around Staples Center, depending on how far you want to walk. ($30 will get you right outside the multiple entrances to Staples). There are also those hot dog vendors outside the stadium, which smell really good after the game. There’s also a host of food and beer inside Staples, but you’re looking at $6 water bottles and $12 beer. All a part of the experience, but that’s what you’re working with!

I often have seats for the game in the nosebleeds, and I really don’t mind! The fans are rowdy up top, and you have a bird’s eye view of all the action!

I have been here for concerts, basketball games and hockey games, and I've had a great time at each event. There's no bad seat in this venue and the food vendors are always changing and getting better. It's also convenient to freeways, parking and restaurants if you want to grab something to eat before.

This is a classic venue in LA for many different sporting and music events! It's located DTLA right at LA live so there's lots of places nearby that you can grab dinner and drinks at prior to going to your show. Lots of great acts come to the Staples Center and it always feels like a new experience when attending!
