It isn't really Black History Month until you've watched a handsome early '90s Denzel Washington depict celebrated African American leader Malcolm X; and this one-night-only screening at the Egyptian Theatre is giving us the chance to pay our respects. In one of Spike Lee's finest, Washington gives a gripping, Oscar-nominated performance as the small-time thug turned charasmatic Islamic leader in this triumphant cinematic marathon.
