Time Out says

Up-and-coming filmmakers are producing new pieces all the time, so why limit a showcase to just a once-a-year festival? That’s part of the appeal of this series from NewFilmmakers Los Angeles, which allows directors to screen their documentaries, shorts and features directly in front of an audience each month at South Park Center in DTLA.

This April’s edition includes a program of shorts, a pair of mid-length documentary features (Rachel Epstein’s The Anarchist Lunch and Hidde de Vries’ Hunting Jack) and the series’ annual InFocus: Disabilities program, which spotlights work made by or about disabled filmmakers or subjects.
