Roger Guenveur Smith's moving spoken-word solo show is a powerful memorial to those bound up in the violence that followed Rodney King's 1991 beating by L.A. police. Conceived after King's death in 2012, the performance moves between show and eulogy. In 2017, Smith teamed up with director Spike Lee for a one-take cinematic adaptation.
