UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art

After spending most of its nearly six decades around Newport Beach, Orange County’s main visual arts institution moved a few miles away to Costa Mesa in 2022. In its new Morphosis-designed home at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts campus, OCMA now boasts about double the gallery space to show both permanent and temporary collections of (largely California-based) contemporary artists. Originally simply named the Orange County Museum of Art, it was acquired by UC Irvine in 2025 and changed its name accordingly.
